About the Book
This book tells in free style poetry the life and love (or lack of it) of a child born in the 40’s. A lot of it is very dark as were things that happened to the child. There were very few joys in her life but a lot of pain, fear and insecurities. This is a purging of guilt for not being perfect. Eventually realizing no one has to be perfect and no one should brow beat a child to be less than they are. Some of these poems may remind you of your childhood.
About the Author
I began life as a military “dependent”. After graduation I took a cosmetology course, college was not in the budget. I worked as a cosmetologist for a while then took a business course. I have worked for the City 21+ years, been married twice and had one son. I started taking English classes at our local college. I was lucky enough to take 3 consecutive classes taught by assistant professor of English John Thomas Williams. He re-introduced me to poetry and showed me poets and their works that even I could understand. Then came the book.
