About the Author

Nancy J. Dowdy-Adams has spent the last decade as a certified elementary school teacher, working in private and public education. She holds a Masters degree in Special Education and has recently begun working with infants and toddlers with special needs. Prior to this she served her country in the armed forces during Desert Storm as an Army reservist providing support to troops overseas in Iraq. She is married with two daughters and lives in Long Island, New York.
