About the Book

This book includes the first eight years (1939-1947) of the author’s 20 year naval career. During this period he encountered; six navy near death experiences (including a one and a half hour 65 depth charge attack, 12 Asiatic-Pacific enemy engagements and participation/imitating four 1st time events), romantic interludes with 26 lovely ladies of which the 26th became his wife, several explicit examples of the reality in the cliché “What Goes Around-Comes Around”, and the pleasure of serving with two Navy Legends, Son of a Sitting President, and the Father and Grandfather of 2008’s Republican Nominee for President.

About the Author

Jules was born and reared in New Orleans, La. He graduated from high school with sufficient credits and character references to meet Naval Academy entrance requirements. His goal was to retire after twenty years as a naval officer and in that endeavor; he refused a congressional appointment as he intended to achieve that goal without political obligation. He used the GI Bill to obtain a BEE at the University of Florida in 1964. The Boeing Company financed the Master’s Degree in Systems Management at Florida Technical in 1972. After thirty years and five different Contractors at Kennedy Space Center, he retired as an engineering manager from Boeing Aero Space at KSC, Fl.
