About the Book

Although I was born on April 29, 1984, I consider myself to be more like a penguin than either a Taurus or a wood rat. While I do embody some of those aspects proposed by zodiac and Chinese characterizations, I have never been one to embody what was the norm. I grew up with a wide range of interests and did not discover my fondness for creative writing until I was a teenager. Over the course of exploring many potential career paths, however, I had one pursuit that is universal to us all: a desire to find love. Provided here are the poems, stories, and personal memoirs pertaining to the varied stages of my search and where it unexpectedly ended. It is not meant to be an exhaustive collection of my writing, as such would encompass far too many themes to sustain a casual interest, but I can assure you that this is both the largest and the best selection of all those things that I have penned. I have done my utmost to summarize the real experiences and players that inspired the fictitious pieces, and I hope that in this way you might enjoy the latter with a different eye throughout multiple reads.

Daniel Lynn Strong is currently on active duty in the U.S. Navy. He is a Christian man that proudly calls Texas home, where his mother and father still reside.
