About the Author

Tom Ballantyne is a native of Houston, Texas, but spent most of his adult life in beautiful, green Tennessee. He spent thirty-five plus years in the architectural field, most of that time as a registered architect in Texas, Tennessee, Missouri, and Arizona. He and his beautiful wife, Jan, raised their eight children in the Nashville area. In 2003, they then moved to Gilbert, Arizona to rejoin all eight of their children who had settled there. Tom and Jan are now the grandparents of twenty-one grandchildren. To launch his book and new career as an author and inspirational speaker, the couple recently relocated to Palm Desert, California, near Palm Springs. As a student, athlete, missionary, husband, father, scoutmaster, athletic coach, architect, builder, and teacher, Tom has always been intrigued by the overriding power of thought in all areas of our lives, and has read extensively on the subject over the years. As an avid journal writer, Tom has been putting his thoughts and ideas into writing for the past forty years. These books are the culmination of all that he has read, thought, experienced, and written during that time. He is keenly aware, however, that he is just beginning to scratch the surface of this all-important subject. He also understands that it is a subject "as broad as eternity," and it will take some time to sort it all out! Tom hopes that these first books will play a role in unveiling the mystery we refer to as the mind. He also hopes that you, his reader, will make a contribution as well; and that your ultimate aim, like his, is to lay hold on truth - wherever you may find it! Only by so doing can we shake off the chains of superstition and error that ceaselessly bind us, and keep us from walking in the full light of truth. As always, the choice is ours!
