About the Book

Upon learning that his one-year-old daughter, Victoria, is diagnosed with leukemia Peter Rios questions why God allowed this to happen. As a boy, Peter attended church regularly but believed things happened as a result of fate. As many people do, Peter simply waited for problems to work themselves out and therefore never felt the need to pray. Victoria’s illness is the beginning of a series of intense struggles in Peter’s life which not only force him to turn to his family for help but which also lead him to discover his faith. About the Author

Luis Perez, Jr. was born and raised in Levelland, located in the South Plains of Texas, and is a graduate of Texas Tech University. He has resided in Manor, TX. Since 2001 and presently works in nearby Austin as a manager for a national drug store chain. “These Things I Pray” is his first published work. Luis has spent the past eight years developing the story in this book in hopes that those who read it will be inspired to believe, as he does, that God really does answer prayer.
