Ken Okwonko was forced out of school into revolutionary activities, but hurried back following the cessation of hostilities, and the God-sent amnesty from General Gowon. Concluded secondary school and spent two years studying for the London General Certificate of Education, Advanced Levels.
Entered the Banking Industry through the employ of the Co-operative Bank of Eastern Nigeria Ltd. Rising through the ranks, he engaged in Accountancy and Banking studies. Qualification in 1983 and 1985 respectively. He rose to Management cadre and managed some branches of the bank, until he left the employ of the bank in 1990.
Ken blazed the trail of Finance Company business in the Eastern part of Nigeria. As Managing Director, he piloted the affairs of the company until he retired in the year 2001. At the moment he is the chairman of the board.
