About the Author
Marita's collection of poems and essays are a collaboration of her artistry and imagination. She allows us to dance with her words, somewhere between her fantasies and natures magnificence by combining the two into mental pictures that draw us quietly into her tales. Marita's life was inspired by her European parents, who raised her inside of their love of the outdoors. She feels that her deep respect for nature and her ability to love children unconditionally was the gift of a wonderful childhood that her parents struggled to give their children. They taught me to love nature and respect people, one person at a time. It is with this love that she approaches her work, and trying to capture her passion for life in her words. She is dedicated to making life better for children. This includes her four daughters and the wonderful following of son in laws, grandchildren and great -grandchildren. She hopes that by sharing her writing and the publishing of her first book of work, that her family and friends will have the opportunity to see how she has tried to share her parent's legacy; passing it on to them from a sacred place, deep in her heart, that has found its way into the words on these pages.
