About the Author

Who Am I? Hola! to all of my new friends, I am your author Mrs. Vicki Hu. I would first like to thank God, who has blessed me with life, love and support throughout my journey. I am the fourth of seven children born to my parent’s, Maria Theresa and Oscar Emilio in La Paz-Bolivia, South America. While attending college at the University of San Andres, La Paz, I met and married my adorable husband Wilson and to our union was born my angel, Min Lin; who has blessed me with a beautiful granddaughter Adriana. In 1976, my husband and I decided to move to the United States and we now reside in Texas. I have been working with children for well over 30 years; from developing arts and crafts programs to teaching Spanish in the classroom. My love for children has now spilled over into writing. The collection of books I wish to share with my young readers is from my personal love of Greek Mythology. These tales and fantasies are intended to open the imagination of young children and unlock creativity that will enable them to form higher level thinking skills. Therefore, as my young readers enjoy these age old tales, their cognitive skills are being challenged and entertained all at the same time. In closing, I am especially grateful to my sister, Cecilia Campos Merio; my daughter, Audrey Hu-Gonzales; Mr. Guillermo Blanco (illustrator) and Mrs. Tanya L. Washington. With their help, we were able to bring these aged old tales to life for your entertainment and enjoyment.
