About the Book

Family Karma is an American story full of history and magic, vision and passion. It traces history back, through the lives of a mixed-blood family who are interwoven into the fabric of revolutions dedicated to the grand ideal of a country where all beings could be free. Mimosa is a Hippie living her dream in the New Mexican desert, estranged from her blood family. When a fateful letter arrives, she returns to Ohio. As she journeys back through time and space, back to the family roots, tangled and deep, her experience and point of view speak to the merging of the races and philosophies of the world to create a great nation, the mission of America. As her mystery unfolds, so does our own. Who are these people, these new Americans? With eyes of compassion and understanding, Mimosa is forced to look upon the pain and beauty of her heritage as she is immersed in the river of life through the healing of the old, and the birth of a new America.
