About the Book

The main thing I wanted when people read my poems is for them to feel something, whether it is happiness or sadness, or even get a sense of hope. I also wanted my readers to be able to relate to the poems in some way or another. Each and every one of my poems was inspired by an event that occurred in my life, poetry allowed me to express the way I felt about these events. Those that read my poems will be able to understand my personal feelings. I tried hard to include a message or moral in each poem, something that will stick with the reader. I can happily say that I pretty much succeed in doing so. I have often been told that I have a way with words, but I feel that when you are writing about something personal the words just come to you, when you are writing about experiences you know the sights and sounds and the words just sort of flow, this made writing poems a not only an easy but also an entertaining task, as I got to relive certain moments in my life. Rather than using pictures, I used words to create a scrapbook, that’s what my book is; my poetry is a scrapbook of the moments in my life, the moments that I want to remember forever!
