About the Author

Rosa Vazquez has been a cosmetologist for 35 years. In her salon she was entertained by the many young girls coming in to have their hair done. They shared many silly, sad and wonderful experiences with her. Her love for children has led her to write and share these stories with you. Rosa volunteers her time cutting hair for seniors at nursing homes, for mentally challenged people and works in her community with work force programs. Watch for her upcoming books. Did You See Eva? The Mushroom Family, Jackie's New Smile and A Hairy Experience. Luz Reyes-Devine Graduated from Hunter College, June 1993 holds an administrative and supervision license. She retired after working in the New York City School System for 30 years. Besides reading and writing children's books, she enjoys teaching ESL to adults. She takes pride in working and volunteering in the community. Robenen Vazquez was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. He was raised and completed his education in Spanish Harlem, New York City. Since a child he always had a passion for art. When he graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School, he was honored with the Alexander Bronze Award for his great works in Art. After completing high school he attended the College of Art & Design. He has donated works of nature, fantasy and murals to churches in his community. His craft has inspired many young teens and adults. Robenen is enjoying his retirement after working 42 years at Roosevelt Hospital. He is now enjoying illustrating children's books.
