About the Book

A young girl named Leilani moves to a new school. The first day is the hardest day and Leilani finds that being herself is difficult. With the encouragement of her parents, she finally finds that being herself isn't so bad after all.

About the Author

Jason Wong was born in Manhattan in September of 1978, raised in Eastern Suffolk County, Long Island, the second born of four boys. The inspiration to write comes from childhood memories and children whom he has worked with over many years in educational settings.
