About the Author

I am originally from Gasden, Albama and the fi fth child of six. Growing up I experienced some of the normal trials and tribulations of life. I started writing in my early teenage years as a way of expressing myself and coping with the stress of teenage life. Writing at an early age like that it really didn’t register to me as Poetry unitl I got a little older. By the time I graduated from High School I had several books of composed Poetry. Even though I had written Poetry for years I never allowed anyone to read it, because I was afraid of what they may think. As I got older and experienced life a little more I realized that the things that I was wirting about were the things that people were going through everyday I just chose to write about them. Life itself has become an inspiration for me to continue to write. All of the relationships that have gone wrong and the obstacles we have to overcome living in a world full of corruption. I also wanted to show an appreciation of life being a Soldier in the United States Military I went to War twice and experienced things that I would never wish on my worst enemy, I had to give thanks and honor to God for allowing my fellow soldiers and myself to return home. For the past year or two I have been making plans to Self- Publish my Poetry Book. My nerves got the best of me for the better half of that time until I met a friend of mine. I read a couple of my poems to my friend and he encouraged me to Publish them. At that time fi nancially I was unable to do so, but a couple of months later I was blessed with the opportunity to take a chance at one of my goals and I took it. So to my dear friend Steve thank you very much for taking the time out to listen to my poems and encouraging me. So for anyone that is doubting themselves just take the chance and if you feel like you have no one to encourage you, I want to encourage you to accomplish all your dreams and goals.
