About the Book

For a long time, I have been toying with the idea of writing stories that my sister and I have had the privilege of hearing mostly from our grandmother. Shrimati Gangubai Rayatkar was a simple woman, probably not very academically accomplished, but a very profound and truly enlightened person. She, through her stories and her limitless patience and love, molded us during our formative years. Almost without exception, her stories always had a message, but in retrospect, her supreme confidence comes through in the fact that she never got to the “The moral of the story is. . .” part

About the Author

With this book, I hope to bridge the gap between five generations and two cultures. I hope that the dads and moms who read these stories to their little ones will also appreciate the value of the gems embedded in them.
