About the Book

God does not want us to worship idols but to worship Him. We need to acknowledge the power, presence and authority of God who is at work in our lives. We are a triune being: body, soul and spirit. As God uses us as instruments to the Body of Christ we can’t make the mistake and believe that these gifts are ours and others should give us the glory. We have been created by God to worship Him and when we don’t we will worship something else. Isaiah 42:8 states “I am the Lord; that is My name! And my glory I will not give another, nor My praise to graven images. “We need to lift up Jesus. When we lift Jesus up and seek His face then the glory comes. His glory will not come when we are lifting up idols or lifting up a man. We need to return to the basics and the simplicity of the gospel and lift up Jesus. The banner needs to be Jesus. When we deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him then His glory shines through us and others are led to Him.

About the Author

One of the things the devil uses to defeat people as they start walking with God is a spirit of rejection. Rejection will pull you out of the Spirit, distract you, and hinder your walk with God. The real spirit behind rejection is fear. And God has not given you a spirit of fear. Second Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” The moment you get hit with rejection or fear, your power and sound mind are shaken. You lose your faith and bury your love. The opposite of fear is love. So the way to defeat rejection is to walk and move in the love of God. Rejection is a manifestation of fear. Rejected people feel unwanted, unaccepted, and unloved; and because they feel unloved, they feel worthless. If you "pet" rejection, you will eventually put up a wall. People say, "That person is so cold." The colder people are, the more rejected they've been. But the love of God can tear down any wall. Open your heart and your mind as God ministers His love and gives you hope and love through learning the key ways to out of rejection.
