THE INNER TRUTH

About the Book

My title, The Inner Truth, expresses the significance of my core existence that allowed me to find myself again out of the filth that surrounded me. Others treated me as an object to be used and tossed on the trash heap, but I have held onto the beauty that exists in me to pull myself from the darkness that has been my life to be able to tell my story to benefit others.

About the Author

Sexually abused at three, an alcoholic daughter of an alcoholic, in foster care from age nine until eighteen and abused again then homeless and turning to drugs, prostitution, and whatever would support me, I have survived a difficult life. I have been diagnosed as having borderline personality, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress syndrome, and have now become drug and alcohol free and am in therapy to control the symptoms of my mental conditions. My story is that of many young women in America, and needs to be told so that others are not so lost in the system and hidden in the shadows. My story can help millions who suffer from abuse, and are being used by others resulting in higher incidence of mental health issues, drug and alcohol abuse, and sexual diseases and dysfunction. The cycle that caught me must not be ignored and allowed to catch other girls.
