About the Book

This guide is good especially for someone that has an idea of what recruiting is or doesn’t know anything about recruiting. I’ll say as a coach, some of the things about the dialog between a coach and a recruit was right on. We don’t want them to know that but that’s how it is!

About the Author

Lisimba Patilla, MBA is a former student-athlete and scholarship recipient at Northwood University, a NCAA Division II powerhouse in Midland, Michigan where he started two years at cornerback. Lisimba comes from three generations of student-athletes to have been awarded athletic scholarships: uncle, nephews, cousins and him. He has rare first hand experience as to what athletes, parents and coaches deal with in the world of recruiting and can speak to all of their needs. He educates parents, coaches and players on the facts and myths about recruiting, how to be recruited and recruiting and career promotional methods. Before Noblesteps Management, Lisimba spent 11 years as the liaison between junior colleges and small businesses in Chicago, Cleveland, Toledo and Erie, PA employing education and training portfolios and developing prospect pools for businesses. His athletic recruiting and career firm now builds bridges to Division 1, 2, 3 and NAIA schools and provides an opportunity for student-athletes to be evaluated for athletic - scholarship both as a student and as an athlete. Noblesteps Management, is insuring he is a team player in providing coaches at all levels the right student-athletes for their universities and reducing the likelihood of student-athletes transferring, dropping out or changing majors. Furhtermore, increasing the possibility student-athletes turn pro in something other than sports, as the NCAA promotes.
