About the Book

Poems and Praise is a collection of Tabitha’s expressions of love for all occasions, designed to encourage and inspire others in times of joy, sorrow, and thanksgiving. Family and friends who have read and later commissioned some of her inspiring poems now anxiously await as stores and libraries display this work for countless others to behold and cherish. Poems and Praise is Tabitha’s first book.

About the Author

Tabitha Abiola Lewis is the second of five daughters born to Ashwoode and Miriam Nelson, in Freetown, Sierra Leone, West Africa. She received her secondary education at The Saint Joseph’s Convent Secondary School in Freetown, Sierra Leone. In 1967, she migrated to the United States, and later obtained a B.S. degree in Technology of Management, Computer Systems Applications from the American University in Washington, D.C. (1979). She is an accomplished computer system professional with over thirty years of experience in information technology and problem resolution. Tabitha also enjoys writing poems. Her first poem was penned in 1996, during quiet meditation and prayers at the closing of the year. She is married to William Benjamin Lewis and is the proud mother of three daughters: Velma, Omorotimi, Ibironkeh and a son, Benjamin.
