To be able to find beauty in a world full of greed, jealousy, and envy is a gift. To be able to go on when life throws its toughest curves is a blessing. And to be able to share love again and sustain a relationship with a man or a woman after so many failed relationships is truly a miracle. Karen and David are both in their forties. They both lived every day working hard, caring for their family, and spending time with friends. They thought they would never again find the life that they actually gave up on: the life that included the love of a mate, the love that gives your life meaning, the love that makes you blush, giggle, and just shout out to the world. Karen and David found that love again. This was a relationship that was different from all the rest, but the baggage that came with that love will almost destroy what was truly meant to be. Two years into the relation, their perfect world starts to fall apart. Their first terrible fight was at a nightclub on their anniversary that landed Karen in the hospital, where she was about to have an unauthorized open-heart surgery. Jealousy is the main factor, which is one emotion Karen could never control. David also has a jealous streak. His relationship with Jamie, his best friend since childhood, was threatened when David’s skeletons from the past came out of the closet and almost caused David to commit murder, all because of a secret Karen and Jamie keep. They both knew it was the one thing that will push David over the edge. Karen and David learned that soul mates cannot be parted; their karma won’t allow it.

About the Author

Nadine Burr, a born and raised resident of Newark, New Jersey. She is a proud parent of six children. She spends most of her time caring for one of her sons who has cerebral palsy. After graduating from Catholic Community Service in 1992, she worked in the medical field as a CNA and medical records clerk. Life then took a different direction, forcing her to dedicate herself as a stay-at-home mom, caring for her son. As a stay-at-home mom, she still found time to volunteer in her community at the local hospital. She then put her energy into home schooling while maintaining the stability of the family. Although God has given her many talents such as cooking, sewing, and caring for children, she has always wanted to write. Throughout helping to raise her ten grandchildren, she has devoted her time completing her first book. What began five years ago as a mere idea is now a book of true passion and dedication.
