About the Book

Laney never thought she would or could fall in love again until Chad, an old friend from grade school through his high school junior year, would show up and restart the strong bond that never really departed. She had lost her husband in a logging accident in the winter eight years ago. Chad had moved away with his family to upstate New York, finished high school, attended college, and majored in child psychology before becoming a federal marshal investigating child abuse cases.
