About the Book

Order in the Schoolhouse Discipline with a New Attitude (DNA), was conceived and written for the benefit of all who are involved in the teaching /learning process to be meaningful for the teachers as well as for the students. The concepts of becoming disciplined begin on the learning grounds of home and school and extend into a life-long venture.

About the Author

Jewell Christy Ed.D is a retired public school educator, teacher and administrator. Dr. Christy is now an adjunct instructor, teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) at the Houston Community College System. This author grew up with a distinctive love for reading. She treasured listening, in the evenings, to her grandfather reciting poetry as she and her brothers sat on the front porch. Dr. Christy developed a fond interest in words and languages and was inspired to major in English and Education at Texas Southern University. There, she also received a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction. Seeing her own four children develop, she reminisced, through poetry her own life thoughts, dreams and beliefs. She offers these to the world. She encourages others to visualize and express their thoughts poetically too.
