About the Book

After college, a tour of duty as a Royal Marine and an apprenticeship in a shipyard, Martin Sommerville goes to America to seek his fortune. The death of his sweetheart in an auto accident causes him to pack up and leave, seeking solace by drowning himself in work at several of the worlds famous shipyards. Finding little comfort in this venture, Marty returns to his old haunts in Northern England. A short time later, after moving to London, he meets a raven-haired beauty and her professor Father, who launch him on an exciting new career with many twists and turns. He ends up as an undercover Agent disguised as a Lecturer in the professor’s marine engineering department. Marty succumbs to the raven haired Cybil, as they develop into a crack undercover team, combating international terrorism. Their assignments thrust them into international intrigue in Great Britain, as well as Rome, and the French Riviera, where they become aligned with a wealthy German arms dealer and his Fiancé.

About the Author

Soon after his 17th birthday, young Frank Myers joined the United States Maritime service. He took basic training at Sheepshead Bay, in Brooklyn, NY, and aboard the training ship ‘Vema,’ a three masted schooner. After graduation, he shipped out as a deck hand, and soon thereafter, transferred to engineering. After months of...hours and hours of boredom, punctuated by moments of sheer terror, he resigned the engineering position and went back to school. It was not until some years later that he returned to the Merchant Marine as a Deck Officer. Over the years, attendance at various colleges, institutes, and universities earned him a Doctors degree in ‘Marine Science,’ and led to the authoring of this, his fourth book. His travels throughout America, England, Scotland, Mexico, and the Caribbean, and his experience as a Deck, Engineering, and Training Officer, added immensely to his maritime knowledge. Many of the episodes in the book have been compiled from the Authors own experiences, as he combines foreign intrigue, romance, and excitement, into marine operations and engineering topics. Captain Myers has experienced both the wrath and the serene beauty of the Atlantic, the Gulf, the Great Lakes, and most of America’s Western Rivers.
