About the Book

My Journey through Darkness is about someone who suffered depression for many years. With the help of a new doctor, right meds, counselor and Almighty God, she finds her way through the darkness. She shares a lot of her most inner thoughts in the way of poetry. Her hope is to let people who are going through the darkness know they are not alone. There are people who have experienced the same emotions. Her hope is to let them know there are good resources out there. You just have to reach out and grab them!

About the Author

Hi folks! My name is Carolyn Trudgen. I am 48 years old. I was born and raised in Bluefield WV until the age of eleven and my dad moved us to Bland County Virginia. Growing up in Bland County was such a treat. Life was simple, laid back and we got to know our neighbors on a personal basis. I always learned something new by listening to the stories the older generation would tell me. I loved neighborhood bon fires and neighborhood gatherings. I am married to a wonderful man named Bill. He is a Professor at the local state college. We have been married for fourteen years and live in Winter Haven, Florida. I have two wonderful stepchildren, Suzette and Steffen and three beautiful grandchildren. Cyrus is 10; Nathaniel is 9 and Mekayla is 5. My passions are writing, photography, spending time with family and traveling.
