About the Book

Vixen – A Reindeer Tale is the story of a young reindeer with a big dream. Vixen is the only doe to ever attempt Reindeer Try-outs. As the only female, she doesn't dare tell her parents of her dream or her plan to enter the try-outs for a chance on Santa's sleigh team. She trains secretly on her own, and when the big day comes she brings all her skill, talent, and perseverance to the field to see if she has what it takes to reach her goal. It will take all her abilities and a little help from a new friend, to finish the competition and find out if she will get a position on Santa's sleigh team. (This story addresses character qualities like perseverance, integrity, sportsman like conduct, facing one's fears, and going after dreams.)

About the Author

About The Author, J. E. Barton Barton has written fiction stories since her early teens. Many of her current children's story ideas come from tales she tells her daughter on long, family car trips. A native Missourian, Barton currently lives in Marion, Iowa with her husband and daughter. This is Barton's first children's book.
