“A Beautiful Cat No Matter What” is a story of a cat named Leela, who loses her self-esteem after she becomes a stray cat.
The target readership for this story is from 4 to 8 years of age. It deals with issues such as bullying and not looking at herself in the mirror.
The story has characters, which children can identify with. This is a story about self-esteem issues, which children face.

About the Author

Moli P. Gailan is an Indian national living in Washington D.C. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts. She enrolled at the Institute of Children’s Literature in Connecticut and studied Writing for Children’s and Teenagers. She is currently finishing her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of the District of Columbia. She is planning to teach Pre-K and Kindergarten classes. She is survived by her mother, Tarly Hermossisima and lives with her in D.C.
