About the Book

The Elesin Vollan Story chronicles the life of fictional gay pop star Elesin Vollan. The first of three novels begins with Beneath the Surface, which follows young Vollan through his survival of sexual abuse at the hands of a sadistic uncle. It is at fifteen that Vollan runs away with a much older man Richard Shuffer, a family friend. As Vollan begins to forge a new life and enters life in the spotlight that everything begins to change. He struggles to not only keep his past life a secret but he also has to keep covering up the bruises of a jealous partner. Vollan soon stands up to his abuser with a near fatal result. Suddenly every secret Vollan had suppressed becomes public knowledge.
