About the Book
This is a compilation of fi fty of my best efforts to personalize people and events that had some connection to the day about which the article was to be written. Some are about world-changing events; some about everyday happenings. All are interesting. My hope is that you will enjoy reading them, perhaps discuss them with family and friends, and then be inspired to dig deeper into their stories to discover even more interesting information about them.
About the Author
Bob Harrison is a hometown boy, having returned to his native Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, to work and finally retire after a lifetime of experiences around the world. He is a veteran of World War II, a graduate of Gettysburg College, and a former operator of several radio stations and a cable-TV enterprise, and spent a long stint as a bank’s marketing manager. Bob is also something of an actor, having appeared in dozens of amateur and semiprofessional productions. Recently he took on the persona of Benjamin Franklin, and at eighty-four years of age, is energetically pursuing the historical lecture circuit as that gentleman.
