About the Author

My name is Elora Stewart. I was born in Union Island, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. At a very early age I developed a love for reading. Due to the fact that books were not readily available, I often entertained myself by writing short stories and poetry. As I write, I think of how to bring magic into the life of the reader. Education has always been a focus in my life which led me to receive a degree in Social Work, a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Special Education. I’ve been a teacher in N.Y.C for the past 24 years which has been challenging and rewarding at the same time. Through the years I began to write my own short stories so I could read them to the children in my class. They enjoyed it so much they would ask me for more. Eventually other teachers began to ask me to write stories for the children in their classes. This led directly to the development of the Magic Cat series. SHANTI, SHANTI, SHANTI (PEACE) (PEACE)
