About the Book

A true humanist of his time, for most of his adult life, Moulana Bhashani was a Sufi Pir (sage) as well as a political leader. A Sufi Pir, he preached - and practiced- religious tolerance and egalitarianism. A secular, politician, he fought for social justice, inclusion and democratic rights.

About the Author

Dr. Abid Bahar is a columnist and the author of several books and numerous articles on Burma, Bangladesh and India. He is also a playwright and public speaker. His recently published the book Burma’s Missing Dots, which is a scholarly contribution to knowledge about Burma. Dr. Bahar presently teaches in Canada.
