Do you like to go on family vacations? Eric, Mindy and Cindy drive with their mom and dad to the Catskill Mountains where they spend the entire summer at a family resort. Their dad plays accordion in the Pleasant View Lodge dance trio. The saxophone player, whom everyone calls Peter, has two older daughters Rosemary and Leona. Together the five children organize their own special club called the Chicken Coup Gang. What do you do at a summer resort? About the Author

Robert W. Millner grew up on Long Island during the early 1950’s. This was the post war years when people would sit on their front stoops in the evening and chat with neighbors as they walked the neighborhood. Rob has two younger sisters Nancy and Ginny who enjoyed the many adventures they would dream up together. Many of these stories were based at a family resort in the Catskill Mountains where they spent thirteen wonderful summers together. Rob told stories for his foster children and eventually for his own daughter Lisa every night at bedtime. These stories actually happened to Rob and his sisters and were very much enjoyed by children of all ages. Now sit back, enjoy and be prepared to laugh!
