This book allows the reader to experience and relive the day to day life of our parents and grandparents; from a personal perspective, I now, understand why I was told ?you come from Spanish blue blood? by one side of our family and ?you are Mexican American? by the other side! More importantly I learned about their value system, such as why my father expected me to stand and wait until he finished drinking the water I had been asked to bring him. A must read for all descendants of not only Coyame and its surroundings, but of descendants of the US Mexican border regions, students of our history, historians and especially for politicians who will be tackling our long ignored immigration laws.
