About the Book

Kristina’s Song is a story of a wild magical unicorn that defends itself from capture and harm by turning people into crystal statues. A young girl rides into his meadow and falls in love with his beauty. Not knowing that he is dangerous, she tries to become his friend. Although the unicorn comes close to changing her into a statue, her dancing, singing and love overcome him, and they become friends.

About the Author

Mark Freeman is 55 years old and was raised as a country boy in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. As a kid he rode horses, had dogs, cats, snakes, lizards, a lamb, a chipmunk, tadpoles and frogs, loved hiking and exploring and fishing. That kid still lives in him. Today he lives in Southern California, works in construction and dabbles in painting, drawing, writing, poetry, music, piano, guitar, theater, dancing and science. Over the years, Kristina’s Song has been included in what he read to his children and grandchildren. He hopes that Kristina’s Song will be his first published work.
