About the Book
The summer of 1960 becomes a turning point in the life of a 19 year Airman, nicknamed, Yogi, by his friends. The vast openness of the Texas Panhandle offers the fi rst challenge he has to over come as his senses struggle to adapt to this alien land while his spirit craves the beautiful massive live oaks and peaceful bayous of his native Louisiana. Drawn into the secret and troubled world of a beautiful student nurse from St. Anthony’s Hospital, Yogi faces challenges greater than the blowing wind and bleak winters of the Panhandle.
