About the Author

Author Martin van Daalen has been coaching for over 35 years as a club coach, national coach, academy director, and director of player development. After becoming a National Coach in The Netherlands, he moved to the US to work with top juniors and world renowned players at Saddlebrook resort. Some of those included players like Pete Sampras, Jim Courier, Jennifer Capriati and Mary Pierce. As academy director in the Netherlands, the school was built to 45 students and won the international league championships three years in a row. This was followed by a position as director of women's tennis for the Dutch tennis federation. As a National coach, working for the USTA, he has helped develop many top juniors and professionals you know on the tour today. In working as Director of player development for Finland, he has assisted in changing the competitive structure and players are excelling in European events. tHis extensive experience has aided him in writing a detailed book on how to improve your tennis game and how to teach players to perform to the best of their ability.
