About the Book

A Pro Winner is a book of courage, strength and determination. Clifford Stevens aspired to be a famous pro football player. Although he was faced with bullying and ridicule, he faced his giant with the help of his father, coach and teacher. They taught him to believe in himself. Clifford perservered with the encouraging words of his teacher, "run hard, run free and run wild." His teacher saw the potential in him and gave Clifford those amazing words that stuck with him for a lifetime. Clifford defeated his giant. He looked beyond the clouds and became the famous pro football player. He had a dream and he conquered his dream. Clifford left a legacy of hope and honor to his son who aspired to be like him. Children are full of amazing talents and gifts. We must help them reach within their inner souls to discover who they are. This book will inspire not only children, but all ages to reach beyond the sky to make their dreams come true. By the age of six, a child already has an idea of what they want to be when they grow up. Whatever is in their heart will most likely be their passion. I always wanted to be a writer. Although I was twelve years old when I wrote this story, the purpose was to let children know that no matter how big or small their dreams may be, they can be whatever they want to be, and no matter how long it takes, they are only a dream away from their destiny. It starts by believing and having faith. All it takes are some good mentors in their life who will nurture, teach, support, and encourage them along the way. Never give up on your dreams. You can be A Pro Winner. Citoryia Martin: "What I learned from A Pro Winner is that even when someone discourages you, you should keep going and have confidence in yourself to reach your goal. When I grow up, I want to be a teacher."
