About the Author

Trained as an Anthropologist, Dr. Nixon was born in Alton and moved to Chesterfield, Illinois, where he grew up. His work in Anthropology has taken him through the American Midwest, the Southwest, and the far West with a focus on Native American Tribes and the issues they face in modern society. He has an interest in stagecoaching in the Old West and its maturation partially as a result of the Arizona Gold Rush, its growth during the trans-desert stampede to the glimmering fortunes, and its demise as the railroads crept westward. He lives and writes in southern California.
