About the Book

Sis Radie, as every one calls her, graduated from Worcester High School in Newark Md which is now the vocational, technical, school for high school students. Beebe Hospital in Lewis De as a nurse-aide, specialty hospice patients but her special interests are writing and singing and reading poetry to friends & family and collecting black figurines. She has been involved in teaching Black History in area schools to small children along with Constance Sturgis & Clarence Polk when cousin Marie Connelly was using the fire in her to teach & help special children and their parents. Radie P. considers her work to be sacred which is prepared through prayer, meditation and her own personal ritual of cleansing herself; after which she opens up and lets the essence of wanting to write take her soul and guide it to the resourses needed to bring a story or spiritual conviction into and on a journey through the drumbeats of our heritage, in other words, as her sister Ionia says “Sis goes crazy”, when she writes whose words were chosen for family members. May they do their part to bring a ray of sunshine to every thought and to every heart.

May they do their part to bring a ray of sunshine to every thought and to every heart. Kevin James Fooks was born in Bishopville, Maryland June 5, 1962 the son of Radie P. Fooks and Charles A. Fooks Sr. Recieved his education at Flower Street Elementary School, Bishopville Elementary School, Berlin Middle School and Stephen Decatur High School then after graduateing Kevin Jame Fooks enlisted in the United States Marine Corp where he was proud to serve his country for 4 year as a Machine Gunner to the rank of G-4 Corpal after being discharge from the Marine Corp he return home to Bishopville, Maryland where he resided’s now an is a Certified Pool Operator and House and Ground’s Keeper for the Splash Mountain Water Park in Ocean City, Maryland. Which he loves dearly.
