About the Author

I was born in Hannibal, Mo; a small town located on the "Mighty Mississippi River." Growing up in a small town, I had some wonderful times, running around and playing with me brothers and sisters in the woods and on the river. I was raised with my four sister and two brothers. After growing up in a small town, I could at what to get away to see what was waiting for me in the world; but in the end, I still returned back home. I now reside in Illinois with my husband and son on a small piece of land, almost in the middle of nowhere, that is not too far from the river I grew up on. I meet my husband in June 1984, we have sense raised four children - Christina (the oldest), Elizabeth, TJ, and David Michael. We also have four lovely grandchildren, which I love to spoil. We love spending time with the children and grandchildren having cook-outs and other family functions, We love to travel on our vacations, usually to places we can camp and fish. I also like to work with my hands doing craft's and making my own custom jewelry, I also enjoy writing children's books; I hope to help teach children by providing books that are fun and educational at the same time, - Mary L.
