About the Book
The stories are based on four elementary school sisters growing up in Taiwan, a small island in south east China. From children’s perspective, things should be simple, but real life events are never smooth. From these fearless girls and friends, there are funny stories and lessons. The place is called Bitan,´Emerald Lake´ in Chinese. The neighborhood has an old suspension foot bridge and a Buddhist temple. The stories, with Chinese cultural content, include a water ski show, kite making, bamboo bridge crossing, tunnel exploration, and raising silkworms. Author´s site http://fearless-girls.com
