About the Author

Maria Pisciotta-DellaPorte studied poetry, novel and memoir writing at The New School and Molloy College in New York. Previous publications include a book of poetry, “The Sum of Something Meaningful.” Reading together with her daughter, Laura, has always been a favorite pastime. Magical Heart is Pisciotta-DellaPorte’s first children’s book written in memory of her older sister, Marilyn and the wonderful times spent together in their own childhood. Currently Pisciotta-DellaPorte is working on a children’s book series.
