About the Book

Eduardo loves his job as the school’s STEM coordinator but his real passion is farming. He and his family grow a corn crop, raise cattle, and they have a few chickens and goats. Eduardo, his two sons, George and Jose, and his wife, Maria play an active role in running the farm. Eduardo loves math and science of which skills in both subjects are vitally important in operating the farm. George enjoys growing plants and Jose is especially fond of raising animals. Maria takes pleasure in spending time in the vegetable garden because she loves the fresh vegetables that she uses in their meals. Spend an afternoon with Eduardo and his boys as they take care of problems that they encounter during an ordinary day on the farm. To Eduardo, life just does not get any better than this as he winds down his day with his family.

About the book: Join Emmy and her twin daughters, Lizzy and Lucy, as they set out on a hiking journey through the forest. Along the way, they encounter unexpected surprises in the forest that ultimately change their lives. The adventure features excitement, fear, and fun. Emmy’s main objective is to give her twins a safe learning experience as they explore through nature; but they get more than she bargained for. Emmy is a very protective parent, especially for Lucy because she is deaf. Emmy feels blessed that her two daughters are best friends and look out for each other. Follow along as Emmy and her girls learn all about the forest directly from the trees, themselves. You will learn along with Emmy, Lizzy, and Lucy about the forest from the trees’ perspective. Have fun on your hiking journey! About the author: Lisa Hamilton was born and raised on a family farm in North Central Florida. She attended the University of Florida for her Bachelor of Science in Agronomy and Agriculture Extension and Education. She also earned her Master of Agriculture and Life Sciences in Agriculture Education and Communications. Lisa completed her Specialist Degree from Liberty University in Educational Leadership. Lisa has over 25 years of teaching middle school and high school in the Florida public school system. Lisa is a National Board Certified Teacher in Science/Early Adolescence. About the Illustrator: Hal Eddy earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama in Graphic Design. Hal specializes in humor comic illustrations. He has over 25 years of experience illustrating for various newspapers.
