Mr. P. and Me

About the Book

This book is about a young girl named Addison, Addi for short. While playing outside with her dog, Woofer: she came across a mysterious wounded spiked animal. Addi approached it and offered to help. His name was Mr.Prickles, Mr P for short. He was a hedgehog. Addi her Mom and Dad nursed Mr P back to health. Along the way a wonderful friendship blossomed. Mr P had found a friend and a forever home.

About the Author

I was born in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Evansville, Indiana when I was 21. I have taught for many years as an elementary and preschool teacher. I earned a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Indiana State University. I have two grown children, who like me, love to read. Reading has always been a favorite pass time in my home.This book came from my love of reading and telling stories to my preschool children: and their love of being read to. My class has a pet hedgehog named Mr. Prickles, and I thought how wonderful it would be to write about the adventures of one of these unusual little animals. I hope to write more books about Addison and Mr. P and their many adventures. I hope you enjoy reading about these wonderful characters as much as I enjoyed writing and drawing about their first meeting.
