About the Book
Five years ago I became eighty years of age. That is when I began writing this “Walk Down Memory Lane”. We had celebrated the 80th birthday with some extra activity, as is the case with most 80th birthday parties I suppose. Life had slowed down considerably—retirement had been going on for the prior fifteen years. There was something mystical about that big eighty mark though. In fact, my whole life-time memories, especially those of my growing-up years, seemed to flash back into my mind. They are still flashing. They were, and still are, cherished memories. Most of them were pleasant and all of them defined my life. Most of those memories involve my family and my friends who have given my life’s memories special meaning. Now, five years later, I am still trying to put those memories on paper.
