About the Author

The author’s passion for soccer goes back years. Beside playing the sport, he has also coached high school teams. At the end of his final season as a player, the local paper- The Des Moines Register – wrote a two page story on his soccer career. As he likes to joke, it made him a sports celebrity for at least a month. Besides his soccer novels, he has had two plays produced and written a dozen or more educational screenplays that were made into films. But nothing, he says, quite compares to scoring a goal in a tight soccer match.
