About the Book

A timeless lesson of bravery and obedience, in a life and death situation, for a family of mallard ducks.

Sally O'Mally and her eight baby ducklings are attacked from the skies, by a hungry predator with swift wings and sharp talons.  Sally's quick instincts and her ducklings immediate obedience to their mother's orders save their lives.

You and your children will enjoy the beautiful, lifelike paintings that illustrate this story. Each page is a true work of art.

About the Author

Leslie Albritton is a wife of twenty-eight years, mother of three, and grandmother of four. She has lived in Wauchula, Florida, since 1977, when her parents moved there to minister at a small Assembly of God church, on Eighth Avenue. She has held several jobs and is currently working as a deputy clerk for the Hardee County Clerk of Courts. Her dream, since being a small girl, was to be a wife and mother. She has dedicated her life to her marriage to Ralton Albritton Jr. and to raising her children. In her opinion, there is no higher calling or greater benefit to society than to have a successful marriage and raise children that honor their parents and are respectful of God and country. This is her first publication. Lavern Brown Keating was born and raised in the country, in a small county, in mid Florida. She married Bill Keating in 1963. They have three children and five grand-children. She has always enjoyed art and has had the wonderful opportunity to take lessons from Florida wildlife painter Robert Butler, using acrylics. She also had many lessons from fine arts teacher and painter Charles Holder, who taught all types of paintings in oil. Some people are natural artists, Lavern says she has to work at it, but it gives her much pleasure. This is her first attempt at any project of this size. It has been a fun and exciting experience. Thank you, Leslie and thank you friends and family for your love, patience and prayers.
