About the Book

"Miss Sunshine and the First Day of Kindergarten," is about a little boy who has heard stories about mean teachers and how bad school is. He begins his first day of kindergarten very scared and worried. Just when he thinks he won't be able to stay, he meets Miss Sunshine. She is caring and nice and shows him that kindergarten is a place where learning is fun and teachers care.

About the Author

Lori Ambrose lives in Bakersfield, California with her husband and her four children. She is a Language Arts teacher with a Master’s Degree in Kindergarten Phonemic Awareness. Miss Sunshine and First Day of Kindergarten is the first book in a series of Kindergarten stories. Lori has written these stories for kindergarten teachers who want to use hem as a supplement to curriculum and for kindergarten students who love learning and everything kindergarten offers.
