About the Book

I met Squir Squirrel the morning of 9/16/2010 after parking the school bus at my home following the morning bus run. It was a warm day so the windows were open in the house. That’s when I heard the incredibly loud squeal of what I thought was a hurt bird. Fleeing from the house with labs in tow, I soon discovered the baby bird I had come to save was actually a baby squirrel that had fallen from its nest.

About the Author

Minnie Kirby Burch is a country girl, a farmer’s daughter and an animal lover. She is married, has 2 sons, a grandson and a granddaughter, on the way. She drives a school bus and has her own lawn mowing business. She is an active member of her childhood church and plans to move back to her late parents’ farm. She has lived in Middlesex County, Virginia all of her life.
