About the Author

Djuan Perry, never imagined she'd embark upon a career in education. While attending college in her freshmen year, her English professor told her she was "un-teachable" and that she would never learn to write; however, she attained her degree in journalism and went on to pursue a career in education. She is currently an educator and has taught in this field for over 10 years prior to publishing this book and finds ultimate fulfillment in helping students gain strides and reach goals in education. She has published articles in magazines, written poetry books, and facilitates youth retreats.
