Message from the Author I hope that you enjoy how I write and what I write. Some of the words and names will be foreign but the meaning should be evident as I write from the heart. About the Author

About the Author Mel Leslie grew up in Southern Alberta and went to school in Hussar Alberta. He is the father of two children and the adoring grandfather of one grandson. Mel has had poetry running through his mind for years and finally decided to start putting them to paper. Most of these poems are life experiences, of either himself or someone he knows, mostly family and friends and their life experiences. Mel has had his share of life's ups and downs and struggles with depression. He has found writing aides in his healing process. He has called his book of poems My Journey and has realized while writing these experiences that they could pertain to anyone.
